I love the vivid dark descriptive nature of the tale.

Excellent. I find it hard to progress more than one story at a time. I’ve been working on my Cycle of Reversion for nearly two years now and still am working on it now. The Clouds story that I brr we live you recently read was actually written first but stalled when I started the Reversion story. I still plan on picking up that one once the Reversion is in a holding pattern. I enjoy your stories. I’m amazed how few people ‘like’ things in Substack. They realize it doesn’t cost anything to do it, right?

After reading the first chapter of your Clouds, I was thinking to myself that if I ever end up curating and putting together a horror anthology, I am ABSOLUTELY taking that first chapter and putting it in. The way it ends? Sheer terror - as the reader, you just KNOW that those clouds are going to continue spreading, and growing. As for the liking thing… yeah, I dunno. There seems to be some trick or undercurrent there which I do not yet understand. I just keep telling myself that my goal is to write to get published, not write to get Substack likes, and then it helps a bit.

Thanks for the comment. I’m never sure how it looks to others. I was going to publish the next set of pages for Clouds this morning and could not get the Substack Section right. It would only show my sections for the Cycle of Reversion, even though I have created a subsection for Clouds as well. Technical difficulties and no time to deal with them. I had to go to my ‘real’ job.

I'm glad the tone is landing, in that case. The goal is to write another 4-5 chapters for this one, and then release it as an e-book on Amazon. If the characters survive (big If at this point!) I might just make them recurring faces in this world of Faustus 1947.
